Introduction
This is a smart location based Alarm that activated when you reach your destination and not based on specific time. The main purpose of it is to solve the problem for people who want to sleep while on train or bus. "WakeMe" will always alert the user when he/she gets close to the destination. Some people, cannot sleep
peacefully while on a trip, we are always afraid that we are going to miss our stop. "WakeMe" will always wake you up just before you reach your destination, you will never miss your stop again.
"WakeMe" is design with power saving in mind, which enables the program to be remain active even when the Phone is locked, and come with screen off function but allow the program to continue to run in background.
Unlike the GPS based location alarm, "WakeMe" continue to work even in the underground station. And consume less battery power than GPS based alarm. "WakeMe" location alarm uses your mobile phone carrier’s GSM cellular network information to determine your current physical position.
To create a new alarm, you first need to add the destination GSM location. You can add a new location by selecting the Record new Locatoin option from the Screen. Once you’ve added few locations, you can start to configure Alarm from the main screen. To make it easy to search for destinations, tap on the destination green arrow, "WakeMe" uses a simple drop-down menu for free text search on the stored station name, the program come with Singapore MRT/LRT database.
Usage Instruction
1. Upon 1st start, if you're Singapore users, select Options | Database | Singapore, follow by restarting the application. This step allow you to enjoy the pre-recorded Singapore MRT / LRT stations cell database.
2. Alternatively to start fresh recording of location. Turn on the "Record new Location" option. You will be promoted to save current location. Location entered will be display on the "Current Location:" section.
3. Continue step 2 to record more locations.
4. After recorded multiple locations, you're able to setup alarm now by specifying your destination. Click on the big green arrow and you will be promoted to enter "Wake me location". You may select your destination from the drop down list, or you may enter a partial name of the location & press enter key (or the search button), a list of locations will be available for selection (provided you enter them before).
5. Click ok at the destination setup screen to go back to the main menu. The selected destination is now display within the big green arrow, marked as destination location.
6. To start the alarm, turn on the "Set Alarm" option. The program will choose the vibrate mode as default alarm if no alert mode selected. You may select to enable sound if wanted.
7. At this stage, DO NOT turn off the phone by pressing power button, click on the Screen Off menu to turn off the screen, otherwise the program will not run. Pressing Power button to turn off the screen, is only supported on HTC Diamond 1.
